Cellphone for kids ??

hmmm.... A cell phone for our kids, Is it that matter .... ?? Some parents may think that cell phone is no good for our kids, but some thinks otherway. So, actually which one is best for our kids. Here is some of the things to consider :

1. Parents often got to busy at their work or their routine and that makes they can not watch their kids all the time. A cell phone can be usefull to make parents a lot easier to watch their kids, by calling and ask their kids 'bout how things done makes parents more calm and can concentrate more on their jobs and their routine.
2. Cellular phone can also become in handy when parents and their kids got sepperated between. Cellular phone can be use as communication tools when parents and their kids got distance between them, with cellular phone parents can always communicate with their kids even though they are so far away.
3. Some parents may think that cellular phone can be missed used by their kids. Well, don't worry ... lately most cell phone producer has already issued products especially made for kids, with all feature and keypad that already set and capability of special setting that can be make by parents for their kids.
4. Cell phone can also be usefull as our kids first SOS when he/she is in trouble, by giving our kids a cell phone and thought them to call certain number when they are in danger, so our kids can make SOS call when he / she is in danger.
5. Cell phone with latest technology has GPS built in it, this is maybe the best feature that parents can have to know where their kids at anytime. So parents won't be worried when they can't find their kids at home or at school.
   

Okey, that's all from me for know. One thing for sure that a cell phone can be usefull for our kids, there is no loss to intorduce that to our kids since their small, I for myself introduced cell phone to my 2 year old son and it seemed like he know that he can call someone with that cell phone.
We just have to make sure that he / she can use it properly.

Internet for Kids : Is it safe ??

A you know internet is one of the technology for kids that spread widely and It is becoming a growing issue among many parents lately. Due to the fact that so many kids are surfin' the internet right now, at all ages even for only 3 years old (as I mention in my first post that my son is experiencing internet from 1,5 years), there needs to be some security.

We all know that internet can be very usefull for us and our children, it's a place where we can communicate even with far distance, a place where we can shop for different things, and it is also a place where we can research about anything. It also can be usefull for our children when he/she want to know about any info they needs for their school, It also a place where they can communicate with their friends through messengers.

However, we still need to understand that internet is still a very dangerous place especially for children. Statistic says that 1 out of 4 children who use the internet are solicited for sex. Some are harassed or threatened while others are even bribed.

So, How can we protect our children ?

One can always watch monitor that our childs use when they are online, but it's not that easy and there is no way we can always stay beside our child when they surfing in the internet, especially if we are one busy parents (both mom and dad are working person).

So how can we prevent our child to get access to these websites ?
Some internet providers offer us a block on a variety of obscene websites from racism to pornography, but sometimes it just not enough.
One of the best and also highly recommended ways to monitor what our kids doing in the internet is by installing a parental control software program in the computer that they use in the house.
Usually, parental control software will record every key that our child typed, take screenshots of what our child see, and block out any websites that we don't want our kids to see.
